For the last three weeks, we have been talking about the best way to stay active in the winter. We talked about the pros and cons of joining a gym. Like dealing with the people and the cost, but also getting to get away from things and being able to stay out of the cold winter weather. Then we talked about other ideas of staying active, like being creative. Ideas like creating your own gym at home, taking up walking or running, or even trying cycling or swimming. All these ideas are great, but not everyone will like the same things. Then, in the last blog, we talked briefly about the home exercise programs you can order. For the most part, those programs are aimed at extreme weight loss and muscle gain. They’re all about pushing yourself hard and getting results fast. These programs usually require a large amount of committed time to achieve the best results.
So with all the great options, which one is for you? Well you need to consider a couple of things before you decide which options to try out. You need to ask yourself questions like, “What is the end goal?”, “How much time do I want to commit to staying active a day?”, and “Am I healthy enough to do the activity that I wish to do?” If you want to lose a lot of weight fast, you probably should look into the home programs, but you must know that you need to already be at a certain fitness level to do these programs well. This is why it is extremely important to consult your doctor before you invest money into an activity to see if it is the best option for you.
After you consult your doctor and have done the research and answered the questions for yourself, get started! Stay active throughout the year!
