Common symptoms include itching, stinging and burning on your toes or soles of the affected areas. You may also notice cracking or peeling skin on the foot.
Athlete’s foot can be passed on from one person to another, or through surfaces, towels, floors and shoes. It grows in warm and moist areas such as tight shoes, damp socks and humid conditions such as in locker rooms.
