A great community event is in store for you during the holidays! The 2013 Total Jingle Bell Run and Walk will be held Sunday, December 15th in downtown Houston. Whether you’re a walk-around-the-block type or a competitive runner, there is an activity for you! From the opening festivities to the costume contest, enjoy running with holiday spirit and help raise funds for the Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA’s Annual Campaign. You’ll “jingle all the way” to the finish line!
You may be a seasoned runner or walker and in great shape to enjoy yet another fun event. If you haven’t been active, suddenly doing more than usual can leave you with top-of-foot pain. You may notice redness, swelling, or warmth in the area after exercise. It may be tender to the touch, or even painful enough to make walking difficult.
Pain on the top of your feet can be caused by anything from sprains, stress fractures, or bone spurs to hammertoes or ingrown toenails. The only way to know for sure what’s making your feet hurt is to have them examined by an expert. Dr. Marco Vargas and Dr. Joyce Lee can diagnose the root cause of the pain. We specialize in sports-related injuries, and can recommend treatment and prevention methods to keep your feet healthy and strong.
Don’t let top-of-foot pain put a damper on your holiday fun. Contact Vargas Foot & Ankle Specialists at 888-784-5335 to get relief from your foot problems. We serve patients from the Sugar Land and Houston areas with great foot care.
