ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
Let me tell you why I became a podiatrist.
As a football player at the University of Florida, I sustained a foot injury. That summer, I went home to Miami to get it checked out and saw a foot specialist there. We hit it off right away.
He was also the team podiatrist for the Miami Heat, and watching him work changed how I thought about the field—and about the body as a whole
What struck me most was how much your feet affect everything else. Even something small—a painful toe, a sore heel—can throw off your entire day. You can’t work out the way you want to. You start moving differently. The pain distracts you from everything. Your feet are the foundation for how you move through life, and when they’re not working right, nothing feels right.
That experience stayed with me. Years later, I became a team podiatrist for the Miami Heat myself before eventually moving to Houston and opening my practice here in Sugar Land.
Today, I’m a double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, but I rarely recommend surgery. Most problems can be treated with regenerative options like laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and biologic injections that preserve your natural anatomy and are often more cost-effective than surgery. When those options exist, they should come first.
My approach is straightforward: I explain what’s causing your pain, walk you through your options, and help you choose what makes sense for you. You deserve to understand what’s happening and to feel confident in your decision.
That’s what I’m here for.
